Time tips

Helping you make the most of your time!

Putting down new roots

by Sarah-Jane

It’s often said how stressful it is to move house, find a new school or university and set up all of the attendant utilities that turn a house into a home. We’ve been there ourselves, in varying degrees, so we know it’s true. So it’s not hard to image what it’s like if you’re not simply moving up the road, or changing town or even county – but moving continents, into a country with potentially a different culture. And you’re miles away and in the hands of strangers. It’s enough to give even the most hardy a stomach ulcer!

Not surprisingly, many of our overseas clients turn to us to do the groundwork for them – so here are a few tips to help you get the most out of our services.

  1. Prepare a brief in advance of what you think you need. We’ll discuss it with you in detail personally and ask a lot of questions that you may not have thought of yourself, but it’s always worth making a few notes in advance of the things that really matter to you.
  2. Be clear about your main concerns and issues. If there are particular requirements that are simply non-negotiable, make sure you tell us at the start. It will help save time in the long-run.
  3. Allow yourself time. While we appreciate that sometimes moves have to be made in a hurry, wherever possible, give us as much notice as possible of your plan to move. That way we can ensure that you enjoy the widest possible range of options and help you have a stress free experience.
  4. Have confidence in us. Once you have briefed us, relax and let us do all the work for you. We’ll stay in regular contact with you so that you know what is going on at all times.
